Omar Dahir Muazu is a Lecturer in the Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics at the Faculty of Environmental Science, University of Ilorin. He has held various administrative positions, including Level Adviser, Faculty Representative, CBT committee, and Departmental Research Driver. As a Registered Surveyor with the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON), Omar is a member of professional societies such as the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS), and Nigeria Association of Geodesy (NAG). He serves as the Chair of the Young Surveyor Network (YSN), a sub-group of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), in the Kwara State Chapter. His research interests include Geodesy, Remote Sensing and Image Analysis, Cloud Computing and Geospatial Data Management, Data Visualization, Machine Learning in Geospatial Analysis, Drone Application in Surveying and Mapping, and Environmental Monitoring and Investigation. Omar has contributed valuable publications, including journal articles, conference papers, and scholarly works, to the academic field.
